WELCOME TO SIMCHAT TORAH
(THE JOY OF THE TORAH)

Torah, (the first five books of Moses,) but encompassing the whole of His Word as we have it today.

We like to use His Name ( Yeshua ) from the Hebrew as it was in His time. We sing the "Sheh-mah" (listen up Israel) from Deut. 6: 4-9.  It applies to us also as those "grafted" into Israel. Romans 11

The Hatikvah, (Israel's Hope) National anthem of Israel, expressing their yearning to return to Zion, which is what is happening today.  We like to sing it as a reminder of our own yearning as well.

(And a reminder to: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love her.") Pslams 122 : 6

Isa. 62 :6-7."  I have set watchman on your walls, O Jerusalem, all the day and all the night continually, who are not silent.  You who know the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He establishes, and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

We meet together on His day according to (Isaiah 58: 12-14) to delight ourselves in His set-apart day in Worship, Dance and Study (2 Tim. 2:15. Psalms 150.)

Learning to know Him who is the Way, The Truth and the Life.

We take seriously the admonition in Hebrew 10: 24-25 "Let us be concerned for one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some but encouraging and so much more as we see the day approaching."

We believe in one God, as He was revealed Himself in the Scriptures. "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God. The Lord is One" Deut. 6: 4.

We believe that the intended meaning of this word "One" is found in the original Hebrew text, which used the word "echad" and means "a composite unity."

Note* Pardes: Hebrew Exegesis of Scripture.

1. Peshat: literal obvious, simple in direct meaning.

2. Remez: hints signs, or allegorical interpretation.

3. Deresh: deeper, personal message, sermons.

4. Sod: secret, mystery, or revelation.

5. Aggadah: storytelling, or parable (Ex. Passover, Purim, Hanukkah.)
